ANKA Smoke detector

From 1 July 2022, it will be mandatory in Dutch homes to have a smoke detector on every floor. If your home does not comply with the new regulations, you risk a fine or problems with your insurance. It is therefore important that you provide your home with the correct smoke detectors on time.

Product description
Make sure you can act on time if a fire breaks out thanks to the Anka Smart Smoke Detector which all use an optical sensor. The optical sensor reacts quickly to smokes, fires, giving false alarms less often.

The smoke detector has an integrated battery with a lifespan of 10 years, so you don't have to replace the battery in between. The loud alarm of 85 dB can prevent life-threatening situation.

Installation
To ensure that you are warned in time in the event of a fire, it is recommended to install at least one smoke detector on each floor.

Smoke rises and that is why it is important to always mount the smoke detectors on the ceiling. This can be easily done with a mounting plate or a few screws. The Smartwares smoke detectors are wireless, making them easy to place anywhere in the house. Due to the security pin, the smoke detector can only be mounted if there is a battery in it.

Maintenance
The operation of a smoke detector can be impaired by dust and dirt. It is therefore important to clean your smoke detector monthly with a slightly damp cloth and every six months with a vacuum cleaner. However, never use cleaning products or paint the smoke alarm.

Testing
It is important to test the smoke detector in between by briefly pressing the test button. By testing the smoke detectors monthly, you can be sure that they function properly if a fire breaks out. If the battery is low, the smoke alarm will emit a short beep, then replace the smoke alarm with a new one.
